Road 531 project is one of Israel’s most complicated transportation projects. It is a connecting highway between Expressway No.6 in the east and highway No.2 in the west. This project improves the accessibility to the Tel-Aviv metropolitan area for the Sharon residents by providing mass transportation system and an upgraded road alternative.
The section under construction today shortens the arrival time from the Sharon area to Tel Aviv, saves the Israeli economy hundreds of thousands of Shekels, and opens multiple accessibility alternatives to road users.
The road is a double-sided, three-way path for 14 Km. A railroad track is being built as part of the project.
